Best rate by coin

Exchange column: the highest rate on any exchange or perp DEX, fixed terms and promotions included, with its lockup. Limits and every other product are on each coin’s page.

How to read a rate

A rate is what a product pays today, not what it will pay. Exchange rates follow demand for borrowing on the exchange; onchain lending rates follow the pool’s use; staking rates follow the network’s rewards. All of them move, some every hour.

Compare like with like. A fixed product that locks a deposit for 90 days is not the same as one you can leave tomorrow, and a promotion capped at a small amount says little about the rest of a holding. The coin pages show lockups and limits next to every rate, and the staking and TVL entries in the glossary explain the terms.

For the perp exchanges’ own vaults, Hyperliquid’s HLP and Lighter’s LLP, the vaults page has their 30-day returns.

Questions people ask

Exchange and perp DEX rates are read from each venue’s own earn products every hour: flexible savings, fixed-term products, staking and vaults. Onchain rates come from lending, staking and vault pools across the major chains. Pools under $1 million in deposits and rates above 200% are left out.

APR is the simple yearly rate; APY counts the interest earned on interest as it compounds. Exchanges state one or the other: the rate column’s header says which, and a product quoted the other way is marked. At the same headline number, an APY pays slightly less than an APR that compounds. The APY vs APR entry shows how to convert one into the other.

A flexible product can be left at any time. A fixed one locks the deposit for its term, from one day to several months, and usually pays more for it. Onchain pools are generally flexible, though some staking has an unbonding wait.

Exchanges run promotions: a high rate on a small amount, for new users or for a few days. The pages show each product’s limits next to its rate, so a 100% offer capped at a few dollars reads as what it is.

Paste the address at the top of this page. TrueHold reads which tokens it holds and matches each one to every rate here, with what a year at today’s rate comes to. Nothing is connected or signed: the address is read like on a block explorer.

No rate comes without risk. On an exchange the deposit is the exchange’s to hold; onchain it sits in smart contracts that can fail or be exploited; promotional and new products can end early. A higher rate usually means more risk, not a better deal. Nothing here is a recommendation.
