Multipliers
A multiplier is how many shares one token now represents. It starts at 1.000000, one token, one share, and moves when something happens to the underlying stock that the token has to keep up with. Above 1.0 each token represents more than one share; below 1.0, less than one.

How multipliers work
- What it affects
- The token’s price relative to the share. A token at 1.021486 represents 2.15% more than a single share, so parity sits that much above the stock’s quote, and one at 0.066667 represents a fifteenth of a share. Comparing a tokenized price against the stock’s quote without applying the multiplier makes the token look wildly mispriced when it is not.
- Why it moves
- Most drift upward is dividend reinvestment: rather than paying cash to holders, the issuer buys more of the underlying and each token comes to represent slightly more stock. Larger jumps are corporate actions: a 4-for-1 split leaves each token representing four shares, so the multiplier reads 4.000000 rather than the token’s price being cut; a 1-for-15 reverse split leaves each token representing a fifteenth of a share, which is why a figure like 0.066667 appears.
- How it is captured
- Daily at 00:00 UTC. The venues report only when a token trades, so a token that is quiet during the capture keeps its previous reading; one that has never reported shows “no data” rather than an assumed 1.0. Reality Protocol publishes no multiplier and is not listed.
- When chains differ
- One stock can be deployed on several chains, and the deployments do not always report the same figure on the same day. The newest reading is shown and the row is marked, so a gap between chains is visible rather than averaged away.
