Cookies Policy

I. Introduction

This Cookies Policy ("Policy") explains how TrueHold ("TrueHold," "we," "us," "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites, mobile apps, and other online services that link to this Policy (together, the "Platform"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

We use cookies to help the Platform work, to improve performance and security, to remember your preferences, and—where you consent—to measure audiences and personalize content/ads.

Consent first: Except for strictly necessary cookies, we only set cookies after you choose your preferences in our cookie banner or settings.

II. Do we use cookies?

Yes. When you first visit, a cookie banner appears with options such as Accept all, Reject non-essential, and Manage settings. You can change or withdraw consent anytime via Cookie Settings (footer link) or your browser controls. Disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.

III. What are cookies (and similar tech)?

  • Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website.
  • Local storage / session storage store data in your browser.
  • Pixels/web beacons/SDKs help measure interactions, deliveries, or errors.

We treat these similar technologies as "cookies" in this Policy.

IV. Types of cookies we use

A) By purpose

1. Strictly necessary

Required for the Platform to function (e.g., page navigation, security, load balancing, cookie consent). These cannot be switched off in our systems and do not store information that directly identifies you.

2. Functional (preferences)

Remember choices (e.g., language, region) and enhance features. If disabled, parts of the Platform may not work as intended.

3. Analytics / performance

Help us understand usage (e.g., pages viewed, errors) to improve speed, UX, and stability. Data is aggregated or pseudonymous.

4. Advertising / targeting (optional)

Used—where applicable—to measure campaign effectiveness and, with your consent, show more relevant ads on TrueHold or third-party sites. If disabled, you may still see ads, but they'll be less relevant.

5. Social media (optional)

Enable sharing and may let social networks track activity for their own purposes. If disabled, sharing widgets may not function.

6. Unclassified

Items we're still categorizing. We only use them once categorized and, where needed, after consent.

B) By origin

  • First-party cookies — set by TrueHold.
  • Third-party cookies — set by service providers (e.g., analytics, security, performance, consent management). Their use is governed by their privacy terms.

C) By duration

  • Session cookies — deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies — remain until they expire or you delete them.

V. Why we use cookies

  • Operate the Platform: load balancing, fraud prevention, security checks, consent storage.
  • Remember preferences: language, region, accessibility choices.
  • Improve performance: diagnose errors, measure page speed, test new features (A/B).
  • Measure audiences: count visits, understand flows, improve content.
  • Personalize/ads (only if you consent): measure campaigns, limit ad frequency, and tailor content.

We maintain a live cookie list in the Cookie Settings panel with name, provider, purpose, duration, and category.

VI. Managing cookies

A) Cookie banner & settings

Use the banner on first visit and the Cookie Settings link (footer) anytime to:

  • Accept all / Reject non-essential / Customize by category;
  • Withdraw consent (applies going forward).

B) Browser controls

You can block/delete cookies via your browser. If you block all cookies, the Platform may not function properly. Learn more:

C) Mobile identifiers & OS settings

On mobile, you can reset/limit advertising identifiers in your device settings.

D) Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control

Where technically feasible, we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals for applicable jurisdictions. Do Not Track (DNT) signals are not standardized; we will follow future standards when adopted.

VII. Legal bases & international transfers

  • Strictly necessary cookies rely on legitimate interests (to provide a secure, working site).
  • All other categories rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

If cookie data is processed outside your region, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent).

VIII. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to cookies, providers, or laws. We'll post updates here and adjust the cookie banner/settings where needed. Please review periodically.
