Cookies Policy

This policy explains what cookies and similar browser-storage technologies TrueHold uses on www.truehold.xyz and app.truehold.xyz. The honest summary: no advertising, no cross-site tracking, and nothing sold to anyone — and product analytics only if you accept it. Choose “Essential only” and the analytics never starts; the site works exactly the same.
1. What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage are similar browser features that keep data on your device — session storage clears when the tab closes, local storage persists until removed. None of these move by themselves; they are read by the site that set them.
2. Strictly necessary storage
These run always, because without them the site cannot remember the preferences you set or the choice you made below. They never leave your browser and identify nothing about you.

3. Analytics — only if you accept
We use PostHog to understand how the product is actually used — which parts of the site lead somewhere, and where people get stuck connecting a wallet or an exchange. Our PostHog project is hosted in the European Union, and PostHog acts as a processor on our instructions.
These are two separate questions, and you can answer them separately in the panel below:
Usage analytics — which pages and features get used, and where people get stuck. It never includes your balances, your wallet addresses, your API keys, or anything you type.
Session recordings — a reconstruction of clicks and scrolls inside the app that we can play back to see where the interface failed someone. The website itself is never recorded. Anything typed into a field — API keys, addresses, passwords — is masked before recording and never leaves your browser in readable form. Turning this off leaves usage analytics running; turning usage analytics off stops recordings too, because it is the same software doing both.
Nothing below is written to your device until you accept. Choose “Essential only” and the analytics SDK is never loaded — no script, no storage, no network request.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate traffic counts. It sets no cookie and no identifier, and so cannot recognise you between visits — it is listed above for completeness, not because it stores anything. Because it stores nothing, it keeps running whichever answer you give above; it is how we know how many people decline at all. It runs on this website only — the app at app.truehold.xyz does not use it.
4. Your choice
You can change your mind at any time, in either direction, right here — per category, not just all-or-nothing. This panel writes to the same stored answer the consent dialog does, and it applies to both the website and the app. Changes take effect immediately; there is no Save button to forget.
The dialog you saw on arrival offers the same three routes: accept everything, open Preferences and pick category by category, or take essential storage only. All three are one click from the same screen — refusing is never more work than accepting.
“Essential only” means exactly that, and it is not a softer word for a smaller amount of tracking: the analytics SDK does not load. What keeps working is the storage the site cannot function without — your theme, your signed-in session, and the record of this choice.

Switching everything off stops collection immediately and clears the analytics cookie; the storage that keeps you signed in and remembers your theme carries on. Your choice applies to both www.truehold.xyz and app.truehold.xyz.
5. What the app stores
When you sign in at app.truehold.xyz, the app uses strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to create and keep your session — that is what makes staying logged in possible. These are essential to provide the service you asked for and do not require consent under most laws. The analytics choice you make on this page travels to the app with you.
6. What we do not use
No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking pixels, no social-media trackers, and no ad networks. We do not sell or share your data with data brokers, and we do not build advertising profiles. Our servers and error-monitoring tools process technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the Services running and secure — that processing is described in the Privacy Policy, and it does not rely on cookies.
7. If this changes
If we widen what we measure, we will update this policy first and ask again rather than quietly inheriting an old yes — with a real choice, not a dark pattern. Consent is stored with a version, so a change of scope resets it by design.
8. Managing storage
You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. Clearing this site's data resets your theme, shows the intro again, and — because it removes your stored answer — brings the consent banner back. Blocking strictly necessary storage for the app may prevent you from staying signed in.
